My makeup is an absolute disorganized cluster of shame. I cannot count the number of times my husband has threatened to take pictures and post them on Facebook in an attempt to embarrass me into getting it off of the bathroom counter. Much to his delight, I finally took care of it. Yes, it did take me about four years, but the point is that it is pretty now. That’s all that matters, right? Right.

I found two really pretty round, glass platters on clearance at Target while I was at work the other day. Yes, I shop on my breaks. I might need an intervention. But look! I find cute stuff to show you guys!  I knew that the plates would be PERFECT for a makeup display.

All I needed to bind the two of them together was a candle stick holder. Luckily I grabbed a few of them at Goodwill last week for $1 each. Bargain!

I used hot glue to secure the candlestick holder to the plates. I waited until they were completely dry before I tried to put any makeup on them. I didn’t want to risk a makeup avalanche. That would be devastating.

This gave me a good opportunity to go through and purge some of my older and broken makeup as I transferred it all to the plates. Thank goodness I consolidated, because I nearly ran out of room. I absolutely love the way it looks on the bathroom counter. It adds a bit of charm to the bathroom. Plus, it looks wayyyy better than two old caboodle boxes sitting up there.
