Paper Project 9: Tulips

This is what I love about creating things. When I started making these flowers, I had no idea what I was doing. I just cut out a circle and started folding. Thank goodness I took a picture of each step, otherwise I would have no idea how to make these again. I was so excited when they came out looking like tulips. They are my absolute favorite flower!!!

So like I said, start by cutting out a circle. I used a large candle to measure.

Then fold the circle in half once and then one more time. Then open the flaps up and press them out so they look more like petals. You will notice that there is a piece sticking out to the right, just fold that behind.

That fold makes it easy to attach it to a stem. I went outside and found a few small sticks to use as stems. I cut them down to be the same length. You could also use skewers, lollipop sticks or even a straw or coffee stirrer.

I haven’t decided what to do with these yet. I think I might make a wreath and put them on there. They would be the perfect size for such a project. Anyone have any ideas what I should do with them?
